Vmax4.com has been hacked again by someone who was adding some PHISHING scam thingy, and they have screwed everything up. I will be working on it, but who knows if I can get it back.
What happened is that someone got into the site server and was setting up Phishing scams, and the tech people caught the scams and blamed me !! I couldn't even get to the stuff the hacker put onto my site to delete it, so I had to have tech support do it. Well they deleted it, including some of the wrong stuff and because they thought it was all involved with the scam thing they even deleted the database backup !! Jerks..
As of now everything from the forums is gone.. I'm so fed up with the whole thing I dont know what to do ? It was taking alot of time to maintain the site and forum.
Thanks again, Dean

I PM'd him on TotallYamaha and told him we were here. You might try him there with the same username, or I'm sure he will show up here soon. The last I knew, he didn't have internet at home, just at work, so he might not see it right away.

I was wondering what had happened to the site, kept trying to log in for a week or so to no avail. Finally found out what was going on over at ty.com.. That really sucks that we lost everything, there was so much good info that came in handy every year

Does any buddy no how much play should the brake rotor have should it move back and fourth on the shaft? Put a new track on and cant figure why i dont have any brake response. Did i put something back together wrong?

The disc will "float" around on the shaft a little bit. It's normal to be able to move it with your fingers. Did you remove the brake caliper when you changed the track? When you squeeze the brake handle does the caliper lock up on the disc? Could be the little key that keeps the disc from spinning on the shaft, or the key that holds a gear in place on the shaft inside the gearbox? Need more info. Shark

Dean, I don't know much about servers, but if the tech guys deleted the database is it really gone? I know that if you delete a file or folder on a Windows computer, that file isn't really gone, it just removes the shortcut path to that file. The information is usually still hidden on the disc somewhere. I had a disc go bad in my digital camera and thought that I lost a bunch of vacation pictures before I had a chance to download them to my computer. I tried a bunch of different recovery programs, and finally found one that extracted about 90 percent of my pictures from the damaged disc. I've also used a Linux Live CD to extract "unrecoverable" data from a disc that Best Buy said "we've never seen a hard drive destroyed like this from a virus before". I don't mean to question you or what's going on, just hoping that you don't give up on vmax4.com. We can get through this, we have before. Shark

Thanks for getting it back and running. I was in a panic thinking that it was over. Is there any way to get a link to here from the old site. Only people from this site understand why us vmax4 owners our still excited about our tanks from the past that still put a spanking on new sleds. I still love the look on there face when they just got dusted by a sled with pogo sticks.
