Motor went bang!!!! Anyone have a spare 800 bottom end? I was testing last month when #2 piston skirt let go. The rod has 0.95 side-side play in it. It may be cheaper to replace the bottom end then fix the crank.
This on my 95 improver that we built up this summer with 180* firing, howlers etc. Since it blew I converted my 96, 880 BB trail sled back to the track, put a grass track on it with 244 chisels, pro-action suspension, psi pipes, bored carbs with filters. It ran pretty good so we took it to some of the local races. We won OPEN at Simm's Lock, but it was almost disastrous. In the final just after we crossed the finish line the Polaris XCR we raced got sideways and barrel rolled, struck the back and left side of the Vmax as we were slowing. It ripped up the the seat and struck the driver in the teck vest. Although a bit shaken the guy on the XCR was fine, the lexan hood he had on was 50" away. The only damage he had was a small crack in the hood. Our guy was fine and there was only cosmetic damage to the Vmax.
This past weekend we raced at CJF/Fast Freddy's track in Fenwick ON. They have a great clay track. After we got the sled to stay down it ripped through the competition putting a Thundercat, MachZ 1000, 900ZR and 800 XCR on the trailer. In the final we raced a 925cc BB Mach Z in full race trim with a 136" prostock skid. This was a little bit to much for our trail ported motor to handle. Although we held our own he got us by 2 lengths.
A couple pictures?? - Having trouble attaching. Whats the secret
