I have an RPC ignition chip that is numbered 12209343. Can anyone tell me what this one is? This one is different to all the numbers I have.

l dunno if this helps at all, l seem to remember reading on the other site that the way to identify the CDI boxes is that the 750-800 have different electrical connectors.
l think; you can use the 800 on the 750 with some gains.
The 750 chip on 800 no gain
hopefully somone else will chime in,

Thanks, I think I have it looked after now. Here is some info (on ignition boxes) for the new people. 1992-93 750 have the round plugs, the 1992 box has a fairly low rev limiter built into it.It is not very good when running the higher rpm pipes. In 1993 Yamaha bumped up the rev limiter on the box. In 1994 they switched to the square plug type connector. The 95,96,97 also had the square type connectors.
Two companys built aftermarket ignition boxes, for different applications. Bender, and RPC, in the Bender box you were pretty much at the mercy of Benders programming, and no changing the chips in the box. In the RPC boxes there was several chips available depending on how your sled was modded.(take the chip out of the box and pop in a new one) You could get 180 firing, 90 firing, turbo chips,High rpm,low rpm etc, etc.etc. They also made some very special "one of" chips that had a custom program if the customer requested it.
And Yes the 800 box is an option for the 750 if you need to spin it a little higher.
